O’BRIEN, JEAN ANN In CT Hospice, Branford, Jean Ann O’Brien formerly of Madison, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2014. Wife of the late Joseph M. O’Brien. Jean was born in Meriden on Aug. 6, 1911, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Terlikowski. Beloved mother of Sheila Lee of Guilford and Patricia Krafcik of Hamden. Also survived by six grandchildren, Paul Krafcik, Kevin Lee, Laura Haydon, Brian Lee, Annette Krafcik and Timothy Lee and seven great grandchildren, William, Griffin, Chloe, Collin, Madelyn, Christopher and Keelan. Predeceased by two sisters. Prior to Madison, Jean and Joseph resided in Stratford where they raised their family and celebrated 65 years of marriage. They enjoyed reading and their daily walk in Longbrook Park. For many years they also enjoyed the weekly Pinochle games with neighbors and friends. Their greatest joys however were in their children and watching their grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Saturday, February 8 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow Mass in Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston St, Guilford. Friends may call prior to Mass on Saturday morning from 9 – 10 am at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford.
