MANCINI, JULIA C. Julia C. Mancini, 91, formerly of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Mancini, passed peacefully at Hospice on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. Born in New Haven, Feb. 8, 1923, daughter of the late Emidio & Luigia Pandolfi Cipollini of Ascoli Piceno, Italy. Julie was a secretary at United Nuclear and retired as secretary to the president of the Henry G. Thompson Co. She had been president of the Children of Mary at St. Donato’s Church. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Mancini of East Haven, Nancy Mancini (and her husband David V. Gould) of Branford, granddaughters Paris Mancini (and her husband Ramon Ochoa Scott) & Genna Waldvogel, sisters-in-law Josephine and Joan Cipollini, several nieces, nephews & godchildren. She was predeceased by siblings Mary (George) Scarpa, Domenica (James) DeMaio, Alice (John) Anzel, Ned & Rudy Cipollini. Julie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses, aids & staff at Branford Hills HCC for taking such good care of her for many years. Funeral from MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. Friday at 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, New Haven at 11 am. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden.
