CARL, DOUGLAS M. Douglas M. Carl, 55, Madison, CT, passed away on Thursday, March 13 at CT Hospice in Branford, CT. He was born in Middletown, CT on October 4, 1958, to E. Norene and John H. Carl. Doug’s passions included walking at Bauer Park, spinning and weaving. His hand-woven blankets will be beloved heirlooms. Browsing antique shops and shows were also favorites. Collecting graniteware and attending National Graniteware Society Conventions were also enjoyed. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Madison. He is sorely missed by his parents, John H. and E. Norene Carl; by his brother John G. Carl and his wife Jo-Ann; sisters Deborah N. Smith and her husband Crawford, Penny J. Bzdak and her husband James, Robin L. Dean and her husband Royce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at The First Congregational Church of Madison, 26 Meeting House Lane. Reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Douglas Carl for the Bauer Park.
