MOODY, CATHERINE MOORE Catherine (Moore) Moody entered eternal rest March 29, 2014. She was born to the late Philip Moore and Annie Thomas on September 30, 1931, in Gryton, GA. Catherine worked effortlessly in dedicating her life to serving God. Her life motto throughout the years was, “If I can help somebody along the way, then my living will not be in vain.” She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Annie Gaines, Denise Gordon; 18 grandchildren; three godchildren; a dear friend, Minnie Sutton; and a host of many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. She was predeceased by husband, Marian Moody; sons, Palmer-Gaines, Franklin Gaines; grandsons, Marvin Gaines, Thomas Daniels; brothers, Rufus Hagins, Charlie Moore; sister, Carrie Ware. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 26 Edwards St., Hamden, CT 06517. Calling hours will be held at the church Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Services by Howard K.
