LUDWIG, VIOLET KANTROWITZ Violet Kantrowitz Ludwig, 85, formerly of Whittlesey Ave., New Haven, beloved wife of 60 years to Charles Ludwig, died on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at CT Hospice, Branford. Dear sister of the late Mildred Rieser, Martha Kantrowitz, and Samuel Kantrowitz. Loving aunt of Sherry Kent, Richard Kantrowitz, and Paul Rieser. Violet was employed as office manager of the former Key Board Jr. Company for over 60 years and also The Yale School of Music Publication office. She was very active in the Greater New Haven Community. A past president of Cong. Beth El Keser Israel Sisterhood as well as past president of A.R.M.D.T.. She was also a lifetime member of the New Haven Jewish Historical Society and Hadassah. Funeral services at Cong. Beth El Keser Israel, 85 Harrison St., New Haven, SUNDAY AFTERNOON (TODAY) at 2:00 o’clock with interment services to follow in the Beth El Memorial Park, Warner St., Hamden. Memorial contributions may be sent to Cong. Beth El Keser Israel. A traditional period of mourning will be observed at 18 Tower Lane, Apt. 302, New Haven. The Robert E. Shure Funeral Home, New Haven, is in care of arrangements.
