NACCA, SALVATORE D. Salvatore D. Nacca, “Rabbit,” age 87, of West Haven, passed away suddenly at home on April 11, 2014. Born in New Haven, son of the late Luigi and Mary Farina Nacca. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Cirasuolo, Lucy Preston, and Virginia (Vincent) Corso, and his brother Dominic (Rosemarie) Nacca; his dear friend Loretta LiMauro; his nieces and nephews Doris (Steven) Klemenz, Gayle (David) Stratton, Douglas (Andrea) Preston; his great-great-nephews Tyler Morse and Oskar Klemenz; his sisters-in-law, Marguerite Nacca and Winifred Nacca; and many more nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Rose Nacca, Anthony and Vincent Nacca, Grace (Catello) Pagano, Elvera (Salvatore) D’Amato, Joseph (Edna) Nacca, Pasquale (Carmella) Nacca; along with his brothers-in-law Douglas Preston and John Cirasuolo. Sal was a WWII Army Veteran; he received many distinguishing awards. He was a polisher for Winchester Repeating Arms until his retirement. The hour for visitation will be MONDAY morning from 9:00 to 10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church at 11:00am. Interment, with military honors, will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
