MATTHEWS, MARJORIE BARRETT Marjorie Barrett Matthews, 95, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late F. Wayne Matthews, passed away on April 14, 2014, in CT. Hospice. Loving mother of Wayne T. (Vivian) Matthews Sr. of East Haven, and the late Thomas Matthews. Grandmother of Thomas (Donna) Matthews, Tracy Matthews and Wayne T. Matthews Jr. Sister of the late Dorothy Fowler and Geraldine Thompson. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson, 3 great great-grandchildren and 2 great-step grandsons. Marjorie was born in New Haven on December 16, 1918, daughter of the late Andrew and Isabel Griffith Barrett. Prior to her retirement, Marjorie was a customer service representative for the former Union Trust Bank and an avid Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to Our Lady of Pompeii Church TUESDAY morning to celebrate A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
