MENTO, MARY Mary Feslis Mento, 92, formerly of West Haven, passed away April 24, 2014, in West River Health Care, Milford, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Julius Mento. Mrs. Mento was born in New Haven on Oct. 18, 1921, daughter of the late Peter and Evanthia Jenetopulos Feslis. She was a lifelong member of St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother. She is survived by a two sons, Richard (Debra J.) Mento and Peter Mento, both of West Haven; a daughter, Lynne (Brian) Barton of Monroe, with whom she most recently resided; a sister, Helen F. (Herbert) Wachter of West Haven; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Joseph) Savoia, Daniel Mento, Julie & Alyson Barton; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia & Stella Savoia. She was predeceased by a sister, Alice Cseh. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at West River for their loving care and attention given to Mary over the last year. Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight), New Haven, Sunday from 4 to 7 pm and are invited to attend funeral services in St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Rd., Orange, Monday morning at 10:30.
