DOLORES Carboni Obituary
CARBONI, DOLORES ANNE Dolores Anne Carboni, age 76, of Vero Beach Florida and Milford, Connecticut, passed away June 3, 2014, unexpectedly in Colorado. Born July 31, 1937, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Mann) Powers. Dolores received her nursing degree from St. Raphael School of Nursing and worked in the emergency room at St. Raphael and Milford Hospitals for many years. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she also enjoyed her retirement playing golf, casino trips, scratch-off lottery tickets, going to the Jersey shore and Rhode Island beaches, and she was always helping others. She was a great cook who had a knack of bringing people together and taking true interest in their lives...she will be truly and sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Carboni is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Renato Carboni Jr, dedicated children , Renato Carboni III and his wife Melissa of Cheshire, CT., Charles Carboni and his wife Andrea of Parker, CO. and Elizabeth Melcher and her husband James of Watertown, WI., her loving grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Marissa, Nicholas and Samantha Carboni and her granddog Uconn. She is also survived by her sisters; Marylyn Tiboni and her husband Joseph of New Providence, NJ. and Eleanor Canning of Belmar, NJ. Calling hours for Dolores will be Wednesday, June 11, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 12, at 11:00 am in St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave. in Milford. Interment will be private. Dolores coordinated the annual Easter Basket Campaign at the Homeless Family Center in Vero Beach for the past several years and, in lieu of flowers and in honor of her memory, donations may be made in her name to the: Homeless Family Center to continue the Easter Basket Campaign, (PO Box 650855, Vero Beach FL. 32965, or homelessfamilycenter.com).
