HANTOVER, MARION Marion Hantover, at age 96, of New Haven, Connecticut, daughter of the late Nathan and Anna Weinstein, died peacefully Thursday, August 7 2014, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield. She was dedicated to equal rights, civil liberties and education. To all who knew her, she will always be remembered for her kind, gentle, completely selfless nature. She was a single parent who was dedicated to her children and instilled them to treat others with dignity, respect, and compassion. She worked for the Redevelopment of New Haven, CT, and many of its mayors. She was the beloved mother of Katherine and Michael, grandmother of Jessica McBrayer and Amanda Grubel, aunt of Mark and Barbara, Fred and Patty and Ann Sendroff and great-grandmother to Leann and Tiffany. The family wishes to extend its gratitude for the exceptional loving care and compassion given by the staff of the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Funeral Services at Bikur Cholim-Sheveth Achim Cemetery, Brockett Place, East Haven SUNDAY afternoon at 1:00 o’clock.
