ANTONIO ANASTASIO Obituary
ANASTASIO, ANTONIO ANDREW Antonio Andrew Rocco Anastasio, of Branford, died August 10, 2014, at the VAMC West Haven with his children by his side. He was the husband of the late Antoinette Santoro Anastasio. Father of Mary Ann, John M. (Lydia) Anastasio and the late Antonio Michael Anastasio. Brother of Frank Anastasio and the late Joseph, John, Leopold and Andrew Anastasio and John Savino. Grandfather of Anthony Michael, Gina Marie and Michael James Anastasio. Antonio was born in New Haven April 29, 1926, to the late Rosario and Giuseppina Savino Anastasio. He served his country with honor in the Army from 1944-1946 and after being honorably discharged, he began a 35 year career as a trailer dispatcher for Cott Beverages. He later worked as a driver and maintenance worker at A.C.E.S. for 10 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 443. Antonio was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was most happy when he was with his family. His funeral will leave the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. Thursday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church at 11. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
