MELLOR, JAMES “JIM” KEEGAN James “Jim” Keegan Mellor, 55, of Hebron, CT, passed away suddenly on Friday August 15, 2014, at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ. Jim was born in Princeton, NJ and lived in Boston, MA and Laconia, NH, before moving to Hebron, CT six years ago. He was General Manager for the past 15 years at the U-Haul Moving and Storage Company in Columbia, CT. Jim was a graduate of Princeton High School and Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He was an enthusiastic reader, enjoyed being with friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Jim was an avid sports fan of all the Boston teams. He especially loved the Red Socks and his beloved New England Patriots. But perhaps his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family on Block Island and in Little Silver. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Keegan Mellor. He is survived by his father, George L. Mellor and his partner Jean Kittridge of Block Island, RI; his brother, Ted Mellor and his wife Jennifer of Little Silver, NJ; his three nieces, Mary, Sarah and Catherine and his aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will take place on Tuesday August 19, 2014 from 11 to 1pm with a funeral home service at 12noon at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ.
