CLARA VALENTINO Obituary
VALENTINO, CLARA D’AMORE Clara D’Amore Valentino, of New Haven, died peacefully August 19th, at Connecticut Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She is the mother of Diane Guglielmo, sister of Theresa Sherman, Frank (Eleanor) and the late Carmen D’Amore. Grandmother of Gary and Michael Guglielmo and also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Gary Guglielmo and her brother-in-law Lester Sherman. Clara was born in New Haven April 8, 1927 to the late Antonio and Agatha Esposito D’Amore. She had worked at Standard Dress and later at JBT Instrument Co. Clara was very devoted to her family and loved to entertain at her home. She enjoyed reading, listening to music and swimming at the JCC. Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Connecticut Hospice especially her PCA, Barbara, and her nurse, Carol for the wonderful care they gave her. Her funeral will leave the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. Saturday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
