BARBARA BERARDESCA Obituary
BERARDESCA, BARBARA M. Barbara Mary Mitchell Berardesca, 92, of the Wright Residence at Masonicare in Wallingford, died Thursday, August 21, 2014, at MidState Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine A. Berardesca. She was born in Wallingford, Jan 30, 1922, a daughter of the late Irvin and Bessie Hotchkiss. She had been employed by Heilman’s Bakery for many years and later by Brunetti’s Luncheonette and K.C. Pharmacy. Her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her son, Hamden Fire Chief David A. Berardesca and his wife Opal; her daughters, Elaine L. Green and her husband William, and Mary B. Johnson and her husband Martin; her five grandchildren, Todd W. Green, Matthew C. Green, Kate B. Mastronunzio, Monica A. D’aria and Natalie M. Berardesca; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn A. Green, Madison E. Green, Rosina D’Aria, Antonio D’Aria, Vinnie Mastronunzio and Juliet Mastronunzio; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Irvin Mitchell and Louis Mitchell; and her sister, June Hacku. Her family would like to thank the staffs of Masonicare, Masonic Home Health and Hospice Care, and MidState Medical Center for the excellent care they provided. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 4 to 6:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
