Antonino "Tony" Mollica Obituary
MOLLICA, ANTONINO “TONY” Antonino “Tony” Mollica passed away peacefully on Thursday (August 28, 2014) at his home. He was a late gift, arriving the day after Christmas in 1960 in Belvedere, SR, Italy. He was predeceased by his father, Sebastiano Mollica and is survived by his mother, Angela (Cannella) Mollica of Newington; his sisters, Lucia Di Virgilio (Michael) of North Haven, Maria Almeida (Victor) of Newington; his brother, Giuseppe Mollica of Hartford; a loving companion, Mary Mathieu of Hartford and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished dearly. Tony was a free spirit in every sense of the word, yet a loyal friend always around to help at a moment’s notice. He had an infectious personality that brightened every room. He lived life to the fullest and especially enjoyed golfing and time spent with family and friends. He was a huge fan of Juventus and the New York Giants. His love of life will be embraced and carried on by all those whose lives he touched. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday (September 2) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
