Charles Maresca

MARESCA, CHARLES Charles Maresca, 58 of East Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Edna Beatrice Maresca. Mr. Maresca was born in New Haven on February 16, 1954, son of Jennie Silva Maresca of East Haven and the late Ralph Maresca of Sarasota FL. He worked for the New Haven Parking Authority until he retired. In addition to his wife and mother, Charles leaves to cherish his memories, a step-son Robert M. Streater of Branford; sister-in-law Betty (Raymond) Brown of New Haven; brothers-in-law Eddie (Monique) Streater of West Haven and Kenny Streater of Pineville, NC and a nephew Craig Smith. Poppy's grandchildren are Darrell Wilson and Dareesha Hardy, of New Haven, Michael Boyd of Branford, Divinia Hardy of Hamden and Dareon Streater of East Haven. He was predeceased by a stepson Dariusheshimu Sidique Gadafi. He also leaves a host of family, friends and relatives to cherish his memories. Burial will be private but you can send a contribution to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
