HOPKINS, ADRIENNE ROSSOMANDO Adrienne Rossomando Hopkins died on May 31, 2011. She was the wife of the late David Hopkins. Born in New Haven, on September 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Tressa Fomento Rossomando. She grew up in West Haven and graduated from local schools. She was also a graduate of the CT. Business Institute. She retired from the former Southern New England Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In her retirement she became actively involved in researching her Italian ancestry primarily in the communes of Cusano Mutri, Benevento, Cerreto Sannita and Montecorvino Rovella, Salerno. She traveled to Italy to visit the home of her maternal grandparents and was fortunate to be allowed to research both the civil and church vital records for the province of Benevento. She truly loved pouring over old Italian and Latin vital records. Ultimately, she was able to trace some of her ancestors back to the late 1500's. She was a life member of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists. When she wasn't tracing roots she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who brought a great amount of happiness to her life. Adrienne is survived by her son, Scott Chadderton and his children, Gillian and Nicholas, her sister, Rosemary Demirs of Lynn, Massachusetts and her nephew, Timothy Demirs and his wife Colleen, and their children, Matthew and Teressa from Swampscott, Massachusetts.
