Kennedy, Henry F. Henry F. Kennedy, 84 of 80 Clifford Street, Hamden died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Proto Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was born in New Haven on March 11, 1928, a son of the late Henry and Bessie Kennedy. He had resided in East Haven for most of his life, Wallingford for sixteen years, and in Hamden for the past three years. He was a truck driver for the former Brockway-Smith Trucking Co. of North Haven for thirty six years, retiring in 1983. He then worked an additional thirteen years for Gallicchio Trucking Corp. of New Haven. Mr. Kennedy was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was a former member of the American Legion, Branford and the Branford Elks Lodge. He is also survived by three daughters, Susan Kennedy of California, Jaclyn Kennedy of New Haven, and Lisa (Tom) Kanoff of Sun Prarie, WI, two sons, Scott Kennedy of South Carolina, and Christopher (Roxann) Ames of Wallingford, a sister, Veronica Hosier of Groton, a brother, Richard (Judy) Kennedy of East Haven, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie Russo and Barbara Woodman. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita Church, 1620 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Military honors will be performed immediately following the Mass outside the church. Burial will be private.
