Joseph E Biondi, 85, of East Haven, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence ""Flossie"" DePalma Biondi. Joe was born on January 20, 1927 to the late Anthony and Mary Solevo Biondi. He worked as a shipping clerk for a variety of companies, including Eastern Industries and Eastern Electronics, from where he finally retired. He is a Veteran of the United States Navy, bravely serving his country during WWII. Joe was a past Grand Knight and one of the founding members of the Father Regan Council 3300 of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Annex YMA Club and a Past President of the Face-Off Club for East Haven Hockey. Joe was also very active in East Haven politics. He is survived by two sons; Michael Biondi of Rancho Mirage, CA, and Mark (Rosemarie Criscuolo) Biondi of East Haven, two daughters; Debra (Leo) Whelan of Branford and Lisa (Gary) Stanford of Wallingford. Also survived by 3 grandchildren Joseph Biondi, Kristen Tibbetts, and Kevin Stanford. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Biondi.

A Funeral Mass will take place Saturday morning (TODAY) at St. Vincent dePaul Church, Taylor Ave., at 9:00 AM. Burial with full military honors will take place in East Lawn Cemetery.
