CULLISON, JESS EDWARD Jess Edward Cullison, of 44 Woodside Drive, Guilford, CT. Born March 5th, 1925 in Evanston, IL. passed away at CT Hospice in Branford, CT, after a brief illness on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Predeceased by his father, Edward V. Cullison and mother, Daisy Lowe Cullison. Survived by his wife, Beverly L. Cullison, son, David C. Cullison (wife Martha), daughter, Valerie J. Cullison Darling (husband Richard), three grandsons and two great grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Lois Ann Armstrong of IL, Darlene Heap of CO and brother-in-law, Arnold Schaid of ID and families. Mr. Cullison graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in psychology. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Cullison worked in management for several manufacturing companies in Chicago and New Haven, CT. Mr. Cullison was a Methodist, a Boy Scout Leader (when his son achieved Eagle Scout) a member of the American Legion and the NRA. With his best friend & son-in-law he collected and restored military rifles. He was a member of the Niantic Sportsman's Club. A private service will be held on Friday, January 4th. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jess's name to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
