Frank DellaMura Obituary

DeLLAMURA, FRANK Frank DellaMura of Wallingford died peacefully at home January 10, 2013 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Kathy Presseau DellaMura. Proud father of Nicholas and Jacob Francis DellaMura. Brother of Carmella (Matt) Anderson, Joseph (Paula) DellaMura and the late Michael DellaMura. Son-in-law of Ernest and Rita Presseau. Brother-in-law of Laura (Mark) Linabury and Nancy Presseau. Uncle of Rachel, Candice, Hayley, Sam, Joseph, Briana and Laura. Frank was born in New Haven October 7, 1956, a son of Emillio "Mig" DellaMura and the late Phil Bellucci DellaMura. He began his career with the New Haven Fire Department as a driver at the Dixwell Firehouse. He later became a Fire Inspector, then an Arson Investigator and finally Deputy Fire Marshall before retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Connecticut Fire Marshalls Association. For the past few years Frank was a Life Safety Specialist for the State of Connecticut. He enjoyed playing a good game of basketball and softball. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 3-7pm at the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11 Wooster Pl. and are asked to meet at St. Bernadette Church Monday morning at 10 for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frank DellaMura Scholarship c/o the funeral home. Sign Frank's guest book online at www.iovanne.com.

I was saddened to read on FB that Frank has passed on. My sincere condolences to the entire family. I last saw him at the 1st Fair Haven Reunion and I thought he looked wonderful. The world is a sadder place without him. Rest In Peace.

My condolences to the DellAmura family. Frank was a dedicated member of the NHFD and had an umblemished career. He put his life on the line many times as a firefighter working out of busy stations. His work as a fire investagator and advancement to Deputy Fire Marshal all came through hard work and positive experience. May he rest in peace.
