William F. Healey Jr.

HEALEY, WILLIAM F., JR. William F. Healey, Jr., age 87, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Marie Mathieu Healey, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born on August 8, 1925, Bill was raised in Orange and was the son of the late William Sr. and Helen Connors Healey. Bill served with pride and honor in the US Navy during WW II. He was a graduate of Hopkins and of the class of 1945 W at Yale University and the School of Law at UCONN. Bill began practicing as an attorney with the law firm of Healey, Donahue and Healey in Derby before going into practice on his own. Bill was an avid golfer and was a member of Racebrook Country Club in Orange. He enjoyed playing tennis and greatly enjoyed listening to classical music. A devoted, kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his children; William Healey III of Winchester, MA, Kathryn Owens and her husband Donald of Memphis , TN, David Healey and his wife Ann of Branford, CT, Anne White and her husband Joseph of Bedford, NH, Patrick Healey of Walpole, NH and stepdaughter, Dominique Mathieu of Montreal, Canada. Also his cherished grandchildren, Joseph White, Jr., Meghan Fornataro, Kevin White and Daniel Healey. He is also survived by his siblings, John Healey of Derby, CT and James Healey of W. Hartford, CT. He was predeceased by his sister, Helen Curran. Friends and family may call on Friday, March 15th from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 am at the Cody-White Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Mt.
