William L. Palmieri Obituary
Palmieri, William L. "Brut" William L. Palmieri, 72, a life long resident of Hamden passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital (St. Raphael's Campus). Bill was the son of the late William Louis and Mary D'Agostino Palmieri. Bill leaves behind his former wife Margaret Cimo Palmieri of Branford. He is the beloved father of William L. (Suzanne) Palmieri III of New Haven and Amanda (Charles) Linski of St. Louis, MO. Loving grandfather of Rosemary, Teresa and Grace Palmieri and Charles William Linski. Bill is also survived by his brother Louis William (Marsha) Palmieri of East Haven; his nephew, Attorney William Sylvester ( Kathryn) Palmieri0 of Bethany; his niece Melissa (Michael) Stone of Hamden; Four great nieces and nephews, McKinley and Barrett Palmieri and Victoria and Madeline Stone and his aunt Rita Palmieri of Hamden. Bill was a graduate of Hamden high School class of 1959. He was the former V.P. of the Palmieri Electric Company and worked for the Echlin Corporation. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising quarter horses. Bill spent 20 years actively involved in Hamden Youth Baseball, first as a coach and then as an umpire. He was a former member of the Hamden Elks Lodge and was a life long member of the NRA. Later in life Bill spent his time tending to his vegetable garden growing his famous tomatoes and playing baccarat. Friends may greet the family Friday (TODAY) From 4 to 7pm at the Hamden Memorial Funeral Home 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
