CAPEZZONE, LUCIA (LUCY) L. In CT Hospice, Branford on Monday, September 30, 2013, Lucia (Lucy) L. Capezzone, 93, lifetime resident of Guilford. Born on December 13, 1919 in Guilford, daughter of the late Lebro and Josephine Aramini Capezzone. Survived by her brothers, Leo A. Capezzone, Celestino (Romie) Capezzone, Thomas V. Capezzone, Julio Capezzone, sisters, Alice C. Beeny, Felicia Oppelt and Dolores (Chickie) Rusconi all of Guilford as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Angelo M. Capezzone and sisters Josephine Coppola, Rose Capezzone and Patrina Capezzone. Lucy was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Edward A. Norton Post # 7666, Guilford and was a recipient of a 100 hour certificate for her volunteer work with the VFW. She was also a longtime communicant of St. George Church, a member of the church choir for over 70 years and an avid gardener. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Friday, October 4 at 11am. Burial will follow Mass in St. George Cemetery, Guilford. Friends may call prior to Mass on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30am at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437. Contributions in memory of Ms. Capezzone may be made to St. George Church Building Fund, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford, CT 06437.
