May you always feel Kathy envelop you with hugs and know the joy of her presence. I hope this brings comfort to you all.
In the Next Room
.
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.

Dear Art, Mike, Kathy, Jenn, Tim,& Sam,
I was blessed to have known Kathy for many years. She was truly a remarkable person, always ready to listen and help in any way should could. She loved you all dearly and you were what was most important to her. She was a gifted researcher but you were always first in her thoughts. With deepest sympathy, Ceci Demarest

Sad and brave. Your and Kathy's life event hit close to home as I have watched it develop while facing chemo therapy, myself, for a basically fatal disease, Sorry, they could not beat the cancer. You were wonderful!
