GYORGYEY, FERENC ‘FRANK’ ALADAR Ferenc ‘Frank’ Aladar Gyorgyey, 89, of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on October 1, 2014, of natural causes. He was born in Budapest, Hungary, March 14,1925, to Ferenc and Flora Frankl. He graduated Pazmany Peter University and was later imprisoned by the Hungarian Communists for 7 1/2 years. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1956. Ferenc attended Yale University where he met and married student and Hungarian refugee Clara Takacs. Frank served as Head of the Medical Historical Library at Yale University from 1968 to 1994. He was active at Yale as well as in the Hungarian Community. Ferenc lived his life with the quiet dignity and spirit of a survivor and loved to laugh, tell stories and share a glass of wine. He is survived by daughters Katalin Berger and Mari Gyorgyey.
