EICHELMAN, GEORGE, JR. CHESHIRE - George Eichelman, Jr., 90, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Masonicare Health Center of Wallingford. He was the husband of Elsbeth “Beth” Eichelman. Mr. Eichelman was born March 31, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late George H. and May J. (Schillinger) Eichelman. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He was retired from the Miller Company where he worked as a Metallurgical Engineer. Besides his wife of 66 years, Mr. Eichelman is survived his children, Diane Eichelman of Shirley, MA, Dale Eichelman and his wife Carolyn of Lake Forest, IL and Janet Hanscom and her husband Rick of Plantsville; his sister, Doris M. Benit of Asheville, NC; his five grandchildren Stephanie and Marissa Blackburn, Blake Hanscom, Emma and Sara Eichelman; two nieces and one nephew. He is predeceased by his grandson, Keith Hanscom. Arrangements - The funeral will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive, Cheshire. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church memorial garden. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 3 to 5 PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main Street, Cheshire.
