Veronica Coughlin Obituary
Veronica (Lipowski) Coughlin, 99, of Hamden and Mansfield Grove, East Haven, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2017. Born February 1, 1918 to Antonia and Valintine Lipowski and celebrated 64 years of marriage with the late George "Sonny" Coughlin. She lived a full and happy life, spending 60 summers at Mansfield Grove with family and friends, swimming and clamming, and enjoyed line dancing at the Hamden and East Haven Senior Centers. Ronnie is survived by daughters Roberta Pollard, Georgeanne Flanagan, Maureen Coughlin and son, Atty. Lance Coughlin. Grandchildren, Janine and Collette Pollard, Rita Flanagan Portnoy (Paul), Gene Flanagan (Kim), George Flanagan, Scott Flanagan (Nancy) and James Storlazzi. Great-grandmother (G.G) to Devon and Kyra Soloman, Dr. David Portnoy, Daniel Portnoy, Rachel, Jessica, Brian, Kelsea, Kyle and Megan Flanagan. Special nieces, Regina Barbaresi and Patricia Nuelsen. Predeceased by her husband, parents and daughter Antonia Coughlin. Brothers, Charles, John and Stanley Lipowski, sisters Stephanie and Major Stella Lipowski, US Army.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Teresa, Donna Zenia, Bogoosha and Constellation Hospice for all their kindness. Donation in Veronica's name can be made to the charity of your choice or to Constellation Hospice, 240 Indian River Road, Orange, CT 06477-0000, Attention Jan Cowles.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral Services are entrusted to Hamden Memorial Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.

What can anyone say about Ronni other than she was a living saint so full of life? Her presence on this planet made it a better place. She was an honorable, strong, selfless and loving women who was old school and always put her family and everyone else first. The way she lived her live was and will continue to be an example to us all. I have known her my whole life growing up at the cottage and can honestly say she was one of the finest people I have ever known and she will be sorely missed. I want to send out my and my families deepest condolences to her all of her family especially my life long friend and big brother Lance Coughlin and the entire Flanagan family including Georgeanne Gene, George & Scott & families), Rita and all of the rest of their family as well as all of her friends and the entire Mansfield Grove community. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and she will sorely be missed. RIP Ronni.
