NEWTON - Gladys H. Caprario, 97, passed away April 29, 2013, in Newton.
Gladys was formerly of Elizabeth, where she was born to the late Harold and Marie Hansen. She also had resided in Westfield, Naples, Fla., and Rossmoor Community in Jamesburg. She was a member and past president of the Elizabeth YWCA from 1930 to 1976 and a former member of the Westfield Republican Club and Board of Elections. She served on the Executive Committee of Rossmoor, and from 1971 to 1976 had worked in the outpatient clinic in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Gladys is survived by her three sons, Rudy and his wife, Marian, of Westfiled; Glenn and his wife, Linda, of Blairstown; and Ronald and his wife, Marie, of Sanbornton, N.H. Gladys also has 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, in 1971. Services will be held Friday, May 3, at 8:30 p.m. at Newbaker Funeral Home 200 Route 94, Blairstown. Visitation at the funeral home will also be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside burial services will be at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery, E. Broad St., Westfield. Donations in memory of Gladys may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 1347 Perrine Road, Monroe Twp., N.J. 08831.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Gladys was a wonderful lady and we had many a laugh. I enjoyed my time with her, and she will always have a place in my heart. I am thrilled she had such a loving and wonderful family and enjoyed meeting them all.
Gladys your in a better place now and the Morning Glories will bloom for you all year round! I love you and will miss you.
