Carey, Andrew M.*  
FRANKFORD - Andrew M. Carey, of Frankford, passed away in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, as a result of complications from a prior injury. Andrew was the son of the late James and Joan Carey, formerly of Sussex. He graduated from Pope John XXIII Regional High School in 1983 and attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Antrim, N.H. He was employed as a general manager at Crown Packaging in Wharton for many years. During this time, Andy worked for Bob and Margaret Leggin, who became very dear friends and mentors. Andrew also worked as a licensed Realtor and builder in Sussex County. Andrew had a passion for aviation and also enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His infectious smile and sense of humor brought out the best in everyone. He was caring, kind-hearted and he was always ready to help a friend in need. Andy is survived by his sister, Agnes Drace and husband, Jeff, of Franklin; brothers, John Carey and wife, Bonnie, of Newton, Mass. and Jim Carey, of Cohoes, N.Y. Andy is also survived by his aunt, Helen Banks, of New York City and eight nieces and nephews. He was also brother to the late Paul Carey of Sussex. Visiting hours will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Franklin. Burial will follow at the Clove Cemetery in Wantage.

Decker, Dennis*  
RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. - Dennis Decker, 67, of Richfield Springs, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015. He lived in Sussex County all his life until moving to the Richfield Springs area. He joined the Air Force upon graduation and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was predeceased by his father, Edgar Decker. He is survived by his mother, Florence Decker, of Richfield Springs, N.Y.; his brother, Darrel Decker and wife, Lois, of Newton; his brother, Bruce Decker and wife, Janet, of Yorktown, Va.; his sister, Elaine Jones, of Smyrna, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews, including his very special great niece and nephew, Bridgette and Brandon Smith, of Bridgewater, N.Y. Interment will be at Branchville Cemetery with graveside services at the discretion of the family for family and friends at a later date.

DiPaolo, Julia*  
CLIFTON - Julia DiPaolo, 82, of Clifton, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Born in New York City, Mrs. DiPaolo had lived in Clifton for over 60 years. She had worked with medical records for Kessler Institute in West Orange for 10 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Ruggiero, Mrs. DiPaolo had a husband of 60 years, Dominick; five children, Mariann Ferreira, Julianne Zafonte, Dominick DiPaolo, Donna Ciancarelli, and Roger DiPaolo; and five grandchildren, Jared, Charles, Peter, Luke, and Hannah. Johnson, Albert E.*  
HACKETTSTOWN - Albert E. Johnson, age 66, of Hackettstown, formerly of Lake Hopatcong, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. Albert was born Nov. 27, 1948, in Dover. He is the son of Alice (Woomer) Johnson and the late John Johnson. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed by and a proud 40-year member of IBEW 102, Parsippany, as an electrician. Al grew up on Lake Hopatcong and enjoyed fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kim (Robinson) Johnson; two sons, Matthew Johnson and Sean Johnson; his mother, Alice (Woomer) Johnson; two sisters, Carol Walsh, Cindy Osborne; one brother, Raymond Johnson; and six grandchildren, Chris, Tyler, Dylan, Sydney, Liam and Jack. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High St., Hackettstown. Following the visitation the U.S. Navy will hold a brief military honors service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, N.Y. 13057 in memory of Al.

Kohaut, Eleanor M.*  
FRANKFORD - Eleanor M. Kohaut, 98, of Frankford, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at the Harris Health Care Center at Bristol Glen, in Newton. Born and raised in Newark, Mrs. Kohaut moved to Sussex County 30 years ago. She was the office manager at Fablok Mills, Inc., in Murray Hills, before her retirement. A member of the woman's club of the Normanock Association, Mrs. Kohaut was also a member of Christ Union Chapel at Culver Lake. The daughter of the late David and Louise (Kremer) Steger, Mrs. Kohaut was also predeceased by her husband, Louis A. Kohaut, on July 17, 2007, and a son, Robert Kohaut. She is survived by a grandson, Bob Kohaut. Graveside services will be held at Frankford Plains Cemetery today, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Seeing Eye, P.O. LaConti, Dorothy E.*  
SPARTA - Dorothy E. LaConti, 82, of Sparta, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lyons, N.Y., and lived in Franklin before moving to Sparta 15 years ago. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper for many years and, lastly, she worked with her son at Lyndsay Michael's Photography in Dover. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael W. LaConti. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Michelle Slockbower and her husband, Eric, Elisa McKeon and her husband, Lawrence, and Michael LaConti and his wife, Brenda; devoted grandchildren, Annemarie, Jamie, Laura, Kelly, Scherry, Lawrence Jr. and Lyndsay; sister, Helen Campbell; and six great- grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday, Sept. 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, at St. Jude The Apostle Church, Hamburg. Interment will follow at Clove Cemetery, Sussex. Majerciak, Andrea Jean*  
VERNON - Andrea Jean Majerciak, 62, passed away at Newton Medical Center on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. Andrea was born in Morristown on June 15, 1953, to the late Andrew Joseph and Martha (Gancarciak) Majerciak. She was a resident of Parsippany and lived the last 12 years in Vernon. Andrea was a cashier at the Franklin Walmart. Andrea was predeceased by her son, Andrew, in 1998. She is survived by her loving daughters, Heather Peruzzi and her husband, Andrew, of Vernon, and Kelly Price and her husband, Daniel, of Newark Valley, N.Y.; her two cherished grandsons, Jonathan and Bryant Price; her sisters, Nancy Oesterle and her husband, Robert, of Palm Bay, Fla., Kathy Ackerly and her husband, Michael, of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Laurie Landstrom and her husband, Ronald, of Mount Arlington; and her nephew, Bobby, and niece, Jamie-Lynn. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and services at 7:30 p.m. at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 240 Route 94, Vernon. McBride, Anna Marie*  
ORANGE CITY, Fla. - Anna Marie McBride, 89, of Orange City, Fla., formerly of Wanaque, passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. Anna was born on Feb. 14, 1926, in Ringwood to Genevieve (Hand) Ricker and John William Ricker. She married Franklin C. McBride in 1945, and resided in Ringwood, later moving to Wanaque, where they raised their family. Anna worked for many years at MacGregor's Knitting Mills in Haskell. In 1986, Anna and her husband, Frank, retired to Orange City, Fla. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking, especially baking. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank C. McBride, in 2013, her beloved daughter, Carol S. Casaleggio, in 1995, and her dear son-in-law, James R. Stokem, in 2011. She is survived by her loving children, Dixie Stokem, of Wanaque, and David McBride and his wife, Debra, of Milford, Pa.; her six cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Stokem, James Michael Stokem, Frank Casaleggio, Preston S. McBride, Tyler D. McBride, and Cheyenne M. McBride; her 13 adored great- grandchildren; her one blessed great-great-granddaughter; and her dear brother, John Ricker and his wife, Marilyn, of Delaware. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon with a funeral service at noon at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland (GPS use 1 Post Place). Moye, Leonard*  
COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Leonard Moye, born Oct. 21, 1938, in McAdoo, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. He was the devoted husband to Dolores Moye and father of Jeffrey Moye, of Bogota, and his wife, Kimiko, and their children, Thomas and Kenneth, and Stacey Moye Strejcek and her husband, Nathan, and her stepson, Locke, of Arlington, Va. He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Broughton, of Cisco, Tex., and Barbara Guerra, of Walnut, Calif., and one brother, John, of Arlington, Va. Leonard moved to New Jersey in 1941 and attended St. Casimir's Grammar School and Union High School. He served in the U.S. Navy on destroyers from 1955 to 1959, a world traveler, project manager at Hoist Industries 1963-1969 and vice president at Davis Laverall, from 1969-1972. He was the founder of Moye Handling Systems, selling services and manufacturing of overhead hoist and cranes, and retired in 1996. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Church of Our Saviour, Cocoa Beach, Fla., on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. There will also be services at Church of All Saints, McAdoo, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 5, with burial at St. Kunegunda's Cemetery, McAdoo, Pa. Swanson, Patricia Ann*  
HOPATCONG - Patricia Ann Swanson, of Hopatcong, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. Patricia was born on Aug. 19, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Patrick and the late Nellie (McLoughlin) Murphy. She was a longtime resident of Hopatcong and a bookkeeper at Greystone Park in Morris Plains for many years before retiring. Patricia was an active parishioner of St. Jude R.C. Church in Hopatcong, and a longtime member of the Rosary Society. She volunteered with the local election polling but, most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Patricia was very proud of her Irish heritage. Patricia is survived by her son, John and his wife, Danette; her cherished grandchildren, Cole, Craig and Carter; her brother, John Murphy; and her sister, Kathrin Kojola. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Alm, Josephine Hall, and Eileen Smith, and her brother, Martin Murphy. Patricia's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4-8 p.m. at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.
