Bachmeier, Lori Elizabeth (McKee)*  
PINEHURST, N.C. - Lori Elizabeth McKee Bachmeier, of Pinehurst, N.C., passed away peacefully at FirstHealth Hospice Center Sunday, May 15, 2016. She was born Nov. 18, 1960, in Newton, attended Fredon Elementary School and Kittatinny Regional High School, where she was active in softball and cheerleading. Lori graduated from Penn State University where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was an avid, lifelong Nittany Lions fan. After graduation, she worked in human resources for several national corporations. Lori and Bruce Bachmeier were married in 1998 and lived in New Jersey, Paris, and Geneva. After his retirement, they moved to Palm Beach Gardens Fla., then to Daniel Island, S.C., and recently to Pinehurst, N.C. She was a talented interior designer and loved designing new homes. She loved golf, tennis and animals, to include her childhood horses and her current dog, Bradley. She is predeceased by her father, Lester McKee and her niece, Marissa McKee. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Bachmeier, of Pinehurst, N.C.; her mother, Elizabeth McKee and brother, Scott McKee, both of Palm Beach, Fla.; and her nieces Dr. Kelsey Ladd, of Lexington Ky., and Christina McKee, of Chicago. A private family service was held on Saturday and a celebration of her life, today, at 1 p.m., at the Daniel Island Club, S.C. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to FirstHealth Hospice, P.O. Box 5889 Pinehurst, N.C., St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105, or Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Daniel Island, S.C.

Carter, Brian F.*  
BRANCHVILLE - Brian F. Carter, 58, of Branchville, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Brian was raised in Bayonne and has lived in Sussex County for 32 years. He worked in the automotive and painting industry for many years. Brian was a member of the Wanderers Car Club of Sussex County. Brian is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lois (Pierson) Carter; his son, Jeffrey Murch and wife, Rebecca, of Montague; his granddaughter, Makayla; and his parents, Karl Carter, of Florida and his mother, Helene Cece, of Nevada. He is also survived by his brother, David Carter and wife, Leesa, of Union Beach; his sister, Karen Carter-Pung and husband, Timothy, of Hayward, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Congleton, Dorothy M.*  
ANDOVER TOWNSHIP - Dorothy M. Congleton, 88, of Andover Township, died Friday, May 20, 2016, at home. Born in Andover Township, Mrs. Congleton lived there for most of her life. She graduated Newton High School and attended classes at County College of Morris. Before her retirement, she was the food service director at Andover Regional School. A Girl Scout leader for many years, her hobbies included sewing, gardening and cake decorating. She was a member of the Still Young in Stillwater Seniors. Mrs. Congleton was predeceased by her husband, James H. Congleton, on Dec. 14, 1975. She is survived by her sons, Roger, and his wife, Pam Cubberly, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Robert, and his wife, Ming, of Yardley, Pa.; her daughter, Janice, of Crandon Lakes; and her four grandchildren, Ben, Ellen and Sam Congleton and Trevor Pinho. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, in Newton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Cross, Trevor Robert*  
ROXBURY - Trevor Robert Cross, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. He was six months old. Born in Denville, on Oct. 23, 2015, to his loving parents Taylor and Victoria (Schinzel) Cross, Trevor was adored by his entire family. In addition to his parents, Trevor is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Wolf T. Schinzel and Bernadette Johansson and her spouse Carl G.; paternal grandparents, Richard E. and Linda Rebyak Cross, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Trevor's life celebration will include visiting on , May 25, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. Haubrich, Eric Thomas*  
LAFAYETTE - Eric Thomas Haubrich, 45, died after a long illness at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born to Everett and Mary Ann Haubrich in Newton, he had lived in Lafayette and Bushkill, Pa., before returning to Lafayette five years ago. Eric worked as a carpet installer with his father for E & E Carpet of Lafayette for many years. Eric was an avid and accomplished bowler and enjoyed racing, especially dirt track. He enjoyed playing golf and going to casinos. Eric was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ann Haubrich, and his sister, Tammy Jo Huff. He was the beloved husband of Sara Haubrich (Coddington), of Lafayette; devoted father of Adrianna Parr, of Newton, Justin and Logan Haubrich, of Bushkill, Pa.; cherished son of Everett Haubrich, of Lafayette; dear brother of Keith Haubrich, of Pennsylvania. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and god-daughter, Rilee. Brother-in-law of Stacey and John Davies. Former husband of Shenee Haubrich. The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Mehrkens, Gladys A.*  
SPARTA ­­­- Gladys A. Mehrkens, 87, of Sparta, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Gladys was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised her family in Randolph before moving to Sparta in 1994. She was active in the Sparta Seniors and loved to play Bingo but the love of her family was most important to her. She never complained and thought everything was 'Wonderful!' Gladys is predeceased by her beloved husband, John. She is survived by her devoted sons, Robert Mehrkens and his wife, Stacey, of Andover, and John Mehrkens Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Sparta; sister of Henry Marks and Doloris Randazzo; grandmother of John, James and Lindsay; and step-grandmother of Chris, Brian, Jessica, Amanda and Courtney. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 6, 11 a.m., at Restland Memorial Park Chapel, 77 Deforest Ave, East Hanover, 07936. The Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, is in charge of arrangements. Murphy, Elizabeth Margaret*  
JERSEY CITY - Elizabeth Margaret Murphy, 79, died on May 20, 2016. Born on Bleecker Street in Jersey City, Mrs. Murphy was a lifelong resident, raising and caring for her six children on the same street. The beloved wife of the late William, she is survived by her children Bill (Nancy), Donna (Rudy), Jim (Jody), Barbara (Wade), Lori (Dave) and Michael (Carinne). She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Bill, Jessica, Jonathan, Justin, Lindsay, Brianna, Tyler, David and Gia. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston. Siems, Christopher*  
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Christopher Siems, 71, of St. Augustine, Fla. and formerly of Green Township, passed away peacefully, under Hospice care in Green Cove Springs, Fla., on May 16, 2016. He was born on May 24, 1944, in Kearney, Neb., and spent his younger years in Livingston, before moving to Green, where he graduated from Newton High School in 1963. After graduation, he attended Trinidad College in Trinidad, Colo. Returning to New Jersey, Chris lived in Stanhope, and was a welder for the Westinghouse Moveable Stair Division in Succasunna. Heeding the call of the open road, Chris became an over the road tractor-trailer driver for about 10 years. During the many years he spent in New Jersey, he was a volunteer for the Stanhope Fire Department. Fulfilling that part of his life, he moved to St. Augustine, where he joined the Merchant Marine, sailing the waters of the world until his retirement. After Chris retired, he joined a pirate re-enactment group in St. Augustine, where he spent much of his time with fellow re-enactors, entertaining the thousands of tourists visiting America's oldest city. He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick L. Siems Sr. of Green, and Mildred Lee of St. Augustine. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Whittaker and her husband, Timothy, of Middletown, Conn., and grandchildren, Evan and Teagan; brother, Fred Siems and his wife, Jane, of Brantingham, N.Y. and The Villages, Fla.; sisters, Barbara Rickerts, of St. Augustine, and Carol Butterfield and husband, Michael, of St. Augustine; nieces Jennifer Butterfield and Karin Siems Emerick; nephews Rick Siems and Shane Braunberg. There will be no calling hours and private services will be held at a later date.

MILFORD, Pa. - Robert H. Goss, 64, of Milford, Pa., passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at home. He was a Machinist for Bob's Machining, LLC, Lafayette, and a parishioner of Long Meadow Chapel, Milford, Pa. The son of the late Kenneth Clyde and Sylvia (Bowers) Goss Sr., he was born Feb. 20, 1952, in Jersey City. He was married to Diane (LaRosa) Goss on Oct. 14, 1995. Survivors include his wife; three children, Robert K. Goss, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., Kimberly Decker, of Milford, Pa., and Stephen Shoup, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; brother Kenneth C. Goss Jr., of Sparta; sister Patricia Dodt, of Virginia.; six grandchildren Ryan, Jaliah, Rebecca, Jack, Ethan and Brody. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tanya M. Goss in 2003. Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Long Meadow Chapel, Milford, Pa., on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m., with Rev. MONTAGUE - Mary P. Guimes, 88, of Montague, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Mary was raised in Fort Lee and lived in Morristown before moving to Sussex County in 2000. She was a homemaker. Mary was a graduate of Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa., then graduated from the New York School of Interior Design in New York City. A former member of the Morristown Woman's Club, Mary enjoyed interior design, gourmet cooking, sewing and gardening. The daughter of the late Peter and Bessie Polites, Mary was also predeceased by her daughter, Victoria M. Guimes, in 2007, and her brother, George Polites, in 2015. She is survived by her husband, James P. Guimes, whom she married in 1947; her son, William George Guimes and wife, Renee, of Hackettstown; and her daughter, Marie D. Kosen and husband, Joseph, of Warwick, New York. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Christine Schieffelin and husband, Cooper, and Carly Kosen and Lee Weinstein; two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Nicholas; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
