Donald W. "Don" Blatt Jr.

GREEN - Donald "Don" W. Blatt Jr., 65, of Green Township, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Morristown Medical Center.

Born in Newark, Don was a bus driver for NJ Transit in Maplewood for 30 years. He was a member of NJ Transit Union. An avid hunter and fisherman, Don was a supporter of Ducks Unlimited and also was a member of the NRA.

The son of the late Donald W. Blatt Sr., Don is survived by his wife of 15 years, Arlene Blatt; six children, Emily Rumbello, of Green Township, Paul Follette and wife, Jenn, of Green Township, Jennifer Totaro and husband, Mike, of Green Township, Laura Little and husband, Dave, of New York, Dawn Vassello and husband, Rich, of Belleville, and Kim Blatt, of New Jersey. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, Anthony, Mikey, Tristan, Amanda, Michela, Matthew and Evan; his mother, Lillian Hinchliffe; two brothers, Dennis and Tommy Blatt; and a sister, Lori Wellman.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
