STILLWATER - Edward C. English, 63, of Stillwater, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Newton Medical Center.
Born in Orange, Mr. English grew up in Livingston, then lived in Roseland for more than 25 years before moving to Stillwater in 2008, where he had been a part-time resident four years prior. He was a videographer and the owner/operator of Acclaim Video Concepts in Roseland for 16 years, retiring in 2008. He had previously worked as a salesman in the garment industry in New York City.
A former member of the New Jersey Videographers Association, Mr. English also was a former member of The Wedding & Event Videographers Association.
The son of the late Edward J. and Elaine (Stierle) English, Mr. English is survived by his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth "Betty" English; his brother, John W. English and wife, Maria, of Scotch Plains; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Magrino, of Pomona, N.Y.; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and their children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 203 Newton-Swartswood Road, Swartswood. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
