Florence "Snookie" Benedetto

FRANKLIN - Florence "Snookie" Benedetto, 75, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Born in Pequannock, Flo was a lifelong resident of Franklin. She was a former Girl Scout leader, loved bingo and tricky tray events, was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed her trips to AC. She worked for many years as a dietician's aide at Chilton Memorial Hospital and in her later years at Econo-Pack Inc. in Sussex as a line assembler.

She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Benedetto Jr.

Florence is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Joseph A. Benedetto, and was the devoted mother of Amy Hocko and her husband, Ron, of Sussex, and Kim Benedetto and her fiancé, John Kozeradsky, of Franklin. She also is survived by her loving granddaughters, Kylie and Makayla, who called her MaMa; sisters, Shirley Milewski and Charlene Lovegrove; brother, Robert Senn and Judy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hamburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations because of this untimely event.
