Helen Lattig

SPARTA - Helen (Boyd) Lattig, 71, died peacefully Monday, May 26, 2014, in Newton with her good friend Stephanie Schubert and loving family by her side.

Helen was born in Franklin to Dr. William and Kathleen (Deasey) Boyd and had resided in Sparta for the past 44 years, having previously lived in Andover and Byram. She operated the Enterprise Horse Farm in Lafayette for 20 years.

Helen was a former member of the Sparta Women's Club and a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter. She was a wonderful person, and will be sadly missed.

Helen is survived by her husband of 48 years, David Lattig, of Sparta; a son, Christopher, and daughter Heather Lattig, both of Sparta; two sisters, Elizabeth Reynolds and Kathleen Reynaud; and a brother, William Boyd III.

Private arrangements are being handled by Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta.
