Henrietta Anna Wilkens

STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Henrietta A. (Frank) Wilkens, 90, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hillcrest Retirement Community, in Stroudsburg, Pa.

Born in Englewood, Mrs. Wilkens lived in Harrington Park before moving to Kemah Lake in Hampton Township, more than 43 years ago.

Henrietta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baleville Congregational Church for 45 years (2001), serving as deacon, Sunday school teacher, ladies aid member, choir member, and treasurer for 20 years.

The daughter of the late Henrietta Borchers and Gustave Frank, Henrietta was predeceased by her devoted husband of 48 years, Walter W. Wilkens, in 1995. Henrietta also was predeceased by her loving brother and sister, Andrew Frank and Adelaide Speechly. She is survived by her beloved sons and daughter, Thomas (Aleta), of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Stephen (Patricia), of Stroudsburg, Pa., and Carol Sanagorsky, of Olathe, Kan.; six cherished grandchildren, Christine (Greg), Michael, Erica (Brad), Monica (Nate), Roxanne and Stephanie; and eight adored great-grandchildren, Kylie, Paige, Joey, Ian, Cassy, Kayla, Sienna and Drew.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Baleville Congregational Church, 6 Church Road, Hampton Township. Interment will follow at the Baleville Congregational Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
