Jacob H. Little

HOMOSASSA, Fla. - Mr. Jacob H. Little, 66, of Homosassa, Fla., died Saturday, May 11, 2013, in Homosassa.

He was born Aug. 25, 1946, in Newton, son of Harvey and Eunice (Lawson) Little. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a police officer for the Odgendsburg Police Department and moved to Homosassa, Fla., from Vernon in 2001. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, past member of the Sussex Fire Department, and a member of the American Legion, Fla.

Mr. Little was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edrie Wert. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marion E. Little, of Homosassa, Fla.; son, Jake and wife, Colleen Little, of Sussex; brother, Edward and wife, Trish Little, of Mississippi; three sisters, Roberta Bishop, of Alabama, Sue and husband, Chuck Holibaugh, of Pennsylvania, and Valerie and husband, Pete Hartmann, of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Christopher Little and Danielle Little; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Sugar Bear.
