Jessie M. Moore

FRANKFORD - Jessie M. Moore, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Sussex County Homestead in Frankford Township.

Born and raised in Lafayette, Mrs. Moore lived in Andover Township and Bangor, Pa., before moving to Knoll View in Sparta. She had been a resident at the Sussex County Homestead since November of 2010. A school bus driver for the former Frank L. Black Bus Company in Andover Township, Mrs. Moore retired in 1993 after 35 years of service.

The daughter of the late Walter and Ann (Belcher) Sliker, Mrs. Moore also was predeceased her husband, William E. Moore Sr., in 2002, and was the last of 13 siblings. She is survived by one son, William E. Moore Jr., of Roseto, Pa.; three daughters, Linda Polowy, and husband, Andy, of Bangor, Pa., Pam McGee, and husband, Kevin, of Newton, and Dawn Sweeney, and husband, K.C., of Andover; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Interment will be held in Tranquility Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 25, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
