John Vincent Ross

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - John Vincent Ross, 47, of East Stroudsburg, Pa., died Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Pocono Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he had lived many years in Sussex County, N.J., before moving to Pennsylvania 15 years ago.

A graduate of the High Point Regional High School class of 1983, John was working as a service writer for the TA Travel Center in Columbia, N.J. Mr. Ross was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Milford, Pa. A quiet and friendly man, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John was pre-deceased by his father, Raymond D. Ross Sr., in September 2012; as well as his siblings, Frank and Steven Ross and Helen McKenna. Survivors include his wife, Tina (Ravo); his mother, Helen (Feeley) Ross, of Newton; his brothers, Raymond of Mystic, Conn., Robert of Branchville, William of Surfside Beach, S.C., David of Matamoras, Pa., Patrick Sr. of Branchville, and Brian of Matamoras, Pa.; his sisters, Susan Losey of Milford, Pa., and Roseann Sliker of Newton. Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St. (Route 206) Newton, NJ 07860. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services for visitation.
