Joseph A. Clark III

RIDGEWOOD --â€" Joseph A. Clark III, of Ridgewood and Lake Mohawk, passed peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends. “Joe” was born in Hoboken to Virginia McGrath Clark and Joseph A. Clark Jr. and raised in Cliffside Park.

Joe was the beloved husband of Jamesine (“Jamie”) Burke Clark, and the devoted father of Christian Joseph Clark. Predeceased by his cherished mother and his infant daughter, Mary Angelica, he is also survived by his father and his five dear brothers and sisters and their families, Marilyn Burke (Thomas) of Cliffside Park, Virginia Callahan (Terrence) of Sparta, Robert (MaryAnn Knowles) of Franklin Lakes, Patricia of Cliffside Park and Paul (Carole Riordan) of Cliffside Park. He will be greatly missed by his many McGrath and Clark cousins and his wonderful nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. The extended Burke family is also grieved at the loss of their dear brother-in-law and uncle.

Joe will always be remembered for his good humor, intellect, quick wit, hearty laugh, and fierce loyalty to family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood. A Funeral Mass celebrating Joe’s life will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.
