Judith D. Smith

WANTAGE - Judith D. Smith, 66, of Wantage, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Sussex, Judy had lived in Sussex County all of her life until recently moving to Saraland, Ala., in April 2012. She had been employed as a bus driver for D.W. Clark in Stockholm and had retired last year.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry; her two sons, Jay Hughson, of Wantage, and Earl Hughson, and his wife Brandi, of Colorado; her two grandchildren, Brianna and Zachery Hughson, of Colorado; her three brothers, Daniel Stevenfield, and his wife Eileen, of Wantage, Theodore Stevenfield, of Wantage, and William Stevenfield, and his wife Debbie, of Budd Lake; her three sisters, Betty Weed, and her husband John, of Wantage, Pearl Trotter, of Alabama, and Kelly Marie Reed, of Alabama; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at 8:30 p.m. at Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute of New Jersey, 100 Madison Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960.
