Leonard Nowicki Sr.

ANDOVER TWP. - Leonard Nowicki Sr., 80, of Andover Township, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at home.

Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Mr. Nowicki live in East Rutherford for 10 years before moving to Andover Township in 1972. He was a serviceman for Pella Windows in Fairfield, retiring after 30 years of service. A member of Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church in Sparta, Mr. Nowicki was a devoted family man. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Nowicki is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alberta (Tlucek) Nowicki; one son, Lenny Nowicki Jr., and wife, Janine, of Fredon Township; three daughters, Roberta Andres and husband, Don, of Sunrise Lake, Pa., Cindy Wilgus of Tobyhanna, Pa., and Kathleen Nowicki of Bangor, Pa.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Barna, of Monroe; and one brother, Gene Nowicki, of Snydersville, Pa.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church in Sparta. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the funeral home.
