WILMINGTON, Del. - Mary Helen Blaicher Morrow, 93, wife of Robert Morrow Jr., passed away May 6, 2013, at her home in Wilmington, Del.
Born in Newark to Arthur A. and Helen Demarest Blaicher, Mary was a graduate of Miss Beard's School, Orange; Bradford Junior College, Bradford, Mass.; and Berkeley College, East Orange. Between her summer home in Culver Lake, and her winter home in Wilmington, Mary led a full and active life in both communities. She was a 36-year member of the D.A.R., with memberships in the Sussex County and Wilmington, Del., chapters. Mary was a longtime member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, where she volunteered in the Mats & Pats group; the Normanock Association of Culver Lake, where she enjoyed a lifetime of summers, and was a long standing member of the Women's Club; and Christ Union Chapel of Culver Lake, where she chaired the Memorial Committee.
In addition to Bob, her husband of 62 years, Mary also is survived by their three children and families: Bruce Robert Morrow, his wife, Valerie, and their son, Michael Logan, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Joanne M. Hoffmann, her husband, Gregory, and their son, Jeremy, of Irving, Texas; and Mary Helen M. Lombaerde, her husband, Charles, and their daughter, Adrienne, of Milford, Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, in Plains Cemetery, on Plains Road in Augusta.
