Paul Stevens Symonds

STANHOPE - Paul Stevens Symonds, 76, passed away at St. Clare's/Dover General Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.

Born in Wethersfield, Conn., to the late Robert D. Symonds and Ann Burroughs Stevens, Paul also was predeceased by his brother, Charles.

A graduate of the West Point Military Academy, Paul served with pride in the United States Army from 1960-1968 and was a 100 percent disabled veteran. Paul also graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University with an MBA in June 1968 and worked at Picatinny Arsenal as an engineer.

He is survived by his beloved son, Philip and his wife, Amy, of Green Township; his sister, Sally Willing and her husband, James, of Connecticut; his two grandsons, Ryan and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St., Netcong. The funeral service and interment will take place at a later date at West Point Military Academy.
