Theresa D. Miller

VERNON -- Theresa D. Miller (nee Wacha), 60, died peacefully at home after a short illness on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.

Born to Joseph and Teresa Wacha in Paterson, she lived in Paterson before moving to the Pleasant Valley Lake section of Vernon Township 28 years ago.

Mrs. Miller worked as a bus driver for NJ Transit for three years and then worked as a school bus driver for Havens Bus Service in Wantage Township for 14 years before retiring in 2011. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gin rummy and talking with her social media friends.

Mrs. Miller is predeceased by her two daughters, Lauren Miller (1985) and Laura Danielle Miller (2012), and a brother, Joseph Wacha. She was the beloved wife for 31 years of William Miller of Vernon Township; devoted mother of Melissa T. Miller of San Diego, Calif., and Lindsay M. Miller of Vernon Township; stepmother of Lisa Kaminski of Lodi, Jennifer Koolman of East Rutherford and William Miller of Slingerlands, N.Y.; loving grandmother of Kyle, Courtney, Chase and A.J.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, today from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will commence at 8 p.m. Cremation is private.
