Helena Wask

HAMPTON - Helena Wask, 72, of Hampton Township, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at the St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus following a long illness. Born in Passaic, she had resided in Rutherford and had lived in Hampton since 1974.

The former owner of the Tailwaggers Boutique in Newton, she was a true animal lover. Besides her many cats, Helena especially loved her Standard Schnauzers, whom she entered regularly in dog shows. Miss Wask also was active in Animal Rescue.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Helena served from 1962 to 1966 reaching the rank of Lieutenant. Miss Wask had worked 30 years as an X-ray technician for the former Saddle Brook Hospital, now Kessler Institute in Saddle Brook until her retirement.

Survivors include her brother Raymond and his wife, Arlene Wask, of Springhill, Fla.; her nephews, Richard Wask, of Newton, and Gregory Wask, of Springhill, Fla.; and her niece, Alicia Wask, also of Springhill, Fla.
