Mr.Reinhardt was my teacher in 8th grade at CVMS about 30 years ago. I looked him up because I´ve been thinking of him a lot lately, and I´m deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Ironically Mr.Reinhardt passed away on my 31st birthday.
I was hoping to reach out to Mr. Reinhardt and tell him he had a profound impact on me and that I know I was a class clown but I´m lucky to have had an American History teacher like him .You truly changed the trajectory of my life .
I hope that in 30 years some of my current American History Students think of me and can say that I helped them as much as you helped me.

Wow. It's been five years almost since my cousin passed. He always treated us "little" cousins as just as important as any adult. We were always welcome at his house and vice versa. When my family moved to various places in NJ and NY it was Chuck (and his sisters!) who made sure to visit and ask everyone in the family, all seven kids, what we were up to, as well as how my parents were doing. I always boasted to everyone that Chuck was my cousin and of his exploits. I wanted to do what he did. Indestructible Chuck; I could never imagine him dying. He is so missed, but surely his spirit is carrying on in the universe.

I knew Chuck for several years in the collective which organized the annual NYC Anarchist Bookfair. Although three years older than I am, he seemed to be filled with boundless energy and enthusiasm. He regailed us with accounts of his youthful adventures and his experiences in Bosnia. He was genuinely committed to doing good and making the world a better place. My best wishes to his family and to his NYC radical friends and to his friends throughout the world. I will miss him.

Growing up with my brother was normal, but interesting. He had a thirst for adventure, hitchhiked across the US and Europe, twice. He shared his knowledge by teaching History supported by his personal knowledge. He was a unique person - He gave more than he took. I wish we had more time together. He blazed his own path and had a positive influence on everyone he met - if ever there was an Everyman, he was. May God bless him, always. Pat Reinhardt Udzielak

Chuck was an amazing guy and friend. I got to know him as a team mate on the 'Fighting Saints' football team of Carroll College (1964 -67). I last saw him in D.C. in 1989 when we literally 'bumped' into each other at an NEA convention. Fortunately we were able to spend a day/evening touring and catching-up. I always had it in my plans to get back to NY/NJ and spend another day with him. He will be missed by his former CC team mates as his name always comes up at re-unions. God bless you "YO" (that was his call sign). May you have eternal rest in the light of Christ our Savior.

Mr. Reinhardt taught me history in 1973, St Thomas school Bloomfield, NJ. 40 years later I still remember his teaching. We disagreed on current events of 1973 and he encouraged that, it is rare to find that in a teacher to today. Yeo, I had forgotten that and I brought a smile! RIP Mr. R

Yeo,
I am blessed for having known someone who was unafraid to follow his own and non-conventional path. You were never afraid to do the right thing when so many others tried to keep thing silent.
