NEWTON - Alma B. Olivari, 88, of Newton, died Monday, April 1, 2013, in the Harris Health Care at Bristol Glen in Newton. Born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Olivari came to the United States in 1950 and lived in Annandale, Va., before moving to Bristol Glen in 2009. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland. A comptroller for various non-profit organizations, Mrs. Olivari retired in 1984. The daughter of the late Pedro and Antonia Bosch, Mrs. Olivari also was predeceased by her husband, William. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Knight and husband, Michael, of Newton; her son, William Olivari, of Arlington, Va.; her granddaughter, Jessica Knight, of East Greenbush, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements and interment are private and under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
