GREENDELL -- Angelina 'Angie' Berrios, 84, died peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Hope. Born in Puerto Rico, she came to the United States in 1944, where she settled and lived for many years in Manhattan. In 2008 Ms. Berrios relocated to Greendell.

The daughter of the late Jose and Primitiva (Alvarez) Ferrer, Angie worked for 30 years as a cashier for the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, N.Y., until her retirement in 1995. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sibling, she had served as caregiver to most of her nine previously deceased siblings.
Angelina is survived by her daughter, Marisa W. and her husband, Derek Evans, of Greendell; her grandchildren, David Winter, Claire and Sarah Evans and her husband, Joseph M. Berrios; and one brother, Lucas Ferrer.
