HAMBURG - Angelina Fernandez, 82, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Paterson, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Ciaramilla) Fernandez. She had been a resident of Hamburg since 1995 and prior to that had resided in Wantage and Hawthorne. Over her many years, Angelina was a homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking. She had been a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Anthony's Church in Hawthorne. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Luann Hogan. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gennaro Fernandez, of Hamburg; a daughter, Martha Preston, of Glenwood; a son, Robert Fernandez and his wife, Elizabeth, of Kannapolis, N.C.; a brother, Ralph Fernandez, of Oak Ridge; sisters, Ann Iurato of Hackensack, Marie Ciccarellis of Long Island, N.Y.; grandchildren, Dana Lorenzo, Daniella Louise Preston and Theresa Hogan; great-grandchildren, Kaela, Alexis and Isiah; along with several nieces and nephews and a former daughter in-law, Gloria Caramico, of Wharton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her crypt-side funeral service at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Paterson at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, (meeting directly at the mausoleum). Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, (for GPS use: 1 Vanderhoof Court, Vernon).
